My SBI Experience
Do You Like My SBI Website?
I do, in fact I have trouble believing that I was able to create it! When I started I didn’t have any experience building websites, I (still) have a very limited knowledge of hmtl (see, I can’t even spell it right - of course I mean HTML!), and no-one in their right mind would call me a webmaster!
Yet I have a reasonably attractive, content filled site of about 150 pages. Although it is still early days, pages from my site are listed on three of the four major search engines and people are actually visiting my site!
UPDATE: I now have four reasonably successful sites, all thanks to Ken and SBI! If you would like to check out the other three just click on one of the links below.
Who would have thought!
Simple answer to that statement is ‘SBI’. When I found SBI I wasn’t really thinking about starting a website. But I was looking for a small business that I could run in my spare time, and eventually build up to the point where I could quit my day job. So I was doing what I used to spend a lot of time doing, searching the internet.
One of the pages I visited had a link to the SBI site with a bit of a blurb about what the company does.
Curiosity may have killed the cat, but in this case it was a blessing in disguise. I followed the link, and this is where I landed, on a page about working from home. Go on have a look, this page will still be here when you are ready to come back!
If you are interested in reading a bit more about Site Build it! you will find some links at the bottom of the page that can explain what it is all about far better than I can. Through these links you can view the main Site Build it! page, a page on ebusiness, and a quick tour. They also have some cool videos where other ‘real SBI’ers’ tell you about their experiences with SBI. This is just one example!
Still not Convinced?
I wasn’t. But I did keep going back to have another look! For over a week I hummed and hahhed (Australian saying which usually means procrastinated) about whether or not I could actually turn a website into a home business. I have many skills and I am far from stupid, but building a website is not something I have ever done before.
Then I noticed the Money-Back Satisfaction & Success Guarantee.
SBI acknowledges that no product is perfect for everyone. And the company does not want you to own Site Build It! unless it’s right for you.
On the other hand, they don’t want you to miss what Site Build It! delivers, due to procrastination.
That’s why Site Build it! encourages people to take full advantage of the Guarantee as a “free trial”. In other words, purchase SBI! and then decide…
Try it — follow the Action Guide.
Register your domain.
Build your site.
Watch traffic grow from Google, Yahoo!, etc..
Enjoy your growing business.
If you decide (at any time) it’s not for you, simply let the company know and you will get a refund right away!
So I did it!
I signed up for my first Site Build it! site. Was it easy to build the website? No. Is it fun? Yes. Do you need to be a techno geek to do it? NO!
You learn as you go.
Making mistakes is a big part of the learning process. But with the support of my fellow SBI’ers you can manage to not only recover from your mistakes, but to turn them into a positive.
That is one of the huge advantages of being a SBI’er. It is not just web hosting with helpful tools, it is a community. Novices are welcomed into the fold through the forums, where they can find answers to virtually all of their questions. More experienced site owners generously offer their time and their expertise to anyone who needs help finding or understanding the wealth of information available on the company site.
